SOME WORDS ABOUT COLOR
The puppy in the picture above shows how much red corgis change in color as they grow. A lot of people want to pick a puppy because of the black masking on his face or black ear tips and they think that's really cute. And it is! But the black fades away as they get older. So the puppy you picked out at 2 weeks, is probably not going to look like the same puppy when you come to pick him up to take him home. This comes as a shock to some people, so I wanted to put this on here to explain it so you are prepared! Also, the picture shows his splotchy little nose when he was a puppy. The black pigment comes in slowly and in splotches. A lot of people think this is so cute and they want that puppy because of that. But it won't stay that way! By the time you pick your puppy up or a couple weeks after you take him home it will be all black!
Black headed tricolor puppies also have the splotchy noses. The body color pretty much stays the same except sometimes the brown areas will get larger and deepen to a beautiful reddish brown color.
Red headed tricolor puppies look exactly like blackheaded tricolor puppies but as they age the black on their head will disappear and turn reddish brown.
